How to access cumulative readings sent from your meter

Have you been looking for a tool to validate cumulative readings from the meters in your Wattics dashboard? We are happy to announce that this is now possible. All you have to do is to visit the Raw Data tab and use the “Cumulative” option.

This tool can provide valuable insights about your longer term energy usage patterns. It can also prove to be very powerful to troubleshoot “under the hood” issues with the readings our platform has received from your meters.

This functionality is available for any meter (electricity, gas, water, etc) which provides readings in cumulative format.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to get to the cumulative readings charts.

1 – Click here to Log-in into your Wattics dashboard
2 – Click on the “Raw Data” Icon as shown in the following image:

3 – Select the meter you wish to look at

Note: This functionality is only available for meters with cumulative readings.

4 – Open the cumulative chart

When a meter is selected, the “Cumulative” option will become available in the Control Panel along with the rest of the meter’s readings. Click on “Cumulative” as demonstrated in the following image.

As with every other chart in our platform, it is possible to select the time period of interest. Cumulative charts (for 3-phase electricity meters) are also available on a per-phase basis.

The example below might bring an energy manager’s attention to the fact that the load is unevenly distributed across the three phases (demand on Phase A is considerably higher). A finding such as this one should raise some questions and trigger a few follow-up actions.
